Mrs. Madrigal-Mora and Mrs. Carter came in to teach the students about the artist, Norman Rockwell. They each painted their Saturday Evening Post and shared stories.

Students explored and found out how sand makes its way to the beach. They worked in cooperative groups and continued to watch the power of water at work. After our reading group finished reading King Tut, we celebrated by making a mummy from a Fruit by the Foot and a pretzel. We learned a lot about how they wrapped the mummies.
One of the rewards available at our store this past month was a donut snowman. We liked making the snowmen but we loved eating the snowmen more!
We learned why water flows in a river. We discovered that water flows from high places to low places and empties in a body of water. We made mountains and then watched it rain. (with the help of a water bottle) We watched the water continue to push to the bottom of the mountain. Science is cool!
